The Parish Council and Villagers wish you a warm welcome to Moulton. There is a real community spirit in the village with lots of events and activities with which to get involved.
The new village hall was opened on the 4th September 2010 and the facility has attracted lots of local group meetings and activities as well as being a superb venue for parties and celebrations, workshop and seminars.
During the week the hall is busy most of the day and every evening with fitness, scouts, dance, dog training, bridge, upholstery classes, toddlers and lots more including a pre-school 3 mornings a week. At weekends there is under 10 and under 12 football on Saturday and adult football on Sundays (the facility provides changing rooms and hot showers!
The village is very proud of the new hall it is a great asset to this thriving community
Mike and Kathy Dillon run the village shop and post office which is the hub of the community. Their Coffee Club allows residents, visitors and local businesses the opportunity to have a coffee or tea (and a fresh Danish pastry) and sit and chat with friends and acquaintances outside the shop. For families there is a picnic bench in the corner of the playing fields where you can enjoy your drink and keep the children safe.
Mike is Post Master and the general store, in addition to providing the usual grocery items also sells fresh bread, filled rolls bakery items, cooked meats, fresh fruit, vegetables, frozen products, daily papers, stationery, logs and coal and fresh sausages and bacon also meat can be ordered in daily. The shop is also an agent for a Newmarket dry cleaner. And repeat prescriptions are delivered weekly form a New Market surgery Mike will also delivers free of charge!
Your post is sorted in the local post office and delivered by the three village post girls. Post is collected twice a day from the post box out side the shop mid morning and16-45hrs.
The Moulton News village newsletter will be delivered to your door quarterly and will provide village information about issues, events, clubs, history and local businesses.
The village also has sits own website www.moultonsuffolk.co.uk updated regularly with all the news!
The village has a bulk ordering of oil scheme which helps to keep the cost

The Kings Head pub is currently being sold and there is a temporary landlord in place. It is hoped that the offer being negotiated at present will be completed and the pub will become a free house with a new restaurant. (February 2012)
Throughout the year, but especially in the summer, there are lots of events organised by the fund raising groups one , the Millennium Club, set up specifically to raise funds to build the new village hall and assist local organisations. Watch out for the posters giving you all the information!
