Suffolk Neighbourhood Watch

Suffolk Neighbourhood Watch is the scheme to make our neighbourhoods more secure and our communities feel safer. The main objectives of Neighbourhood Watch are:

  • To prevent and reduce crime in our neighbourhoods.
  • To help provide reassurance to people in our communities.
  • To provide appropriate and up-to-date crime reduction advice.
  • To encourage members of our communities to be alert and watchful in looking after themselves and others.
  • To act as a channel of communication - passing on timely information from the police to the community and from the community to the police - to help prevent and detect crimes.

How can I become involved?

We are seeking volunteers to take on the role of Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator in the roads in Moulton that are currently not covered by the scheme.

These are as follows:-

Bridge Street, Chevely Road, Chippenham Road, Church Road, Gazeley Road, Kennett Road, Maltings Close, Mayes Meadow, Milburn Drove, Park Close, School Road and The Green.

Your Community Watch Liaison Officer (CWLO) can give you details on how to join an existing scheme or help set up a new one if there isn't one in your area. To speak with your local CWLO, please contact Julie Walker on 01638 719415 or email Julie.Walker@suffolk.pnn.police.uk

Neighbourhood Watch E-mail Newsletter

I also compose an email newsletter; this is done on a weekly basis. It shows crimes of interest from your area, crime reduction advice and helpful hints. If you would like to subscribe to receive the newsletter, please log on to www.suffolk.police.uk/neighbourhoodwatch once onto the site you go into “newsletters from your area” - there you can use the click down box to choose which area or areas you would like to receive information for. To register your details you click on register and enter your e-mail address and a password of your choice, you then click which newsletters you would like to receive. This service is free and you get the newsletter automatically sent via e-mail each time I update (usually on a weekly basis).
